  • Event Details

The 6k race and .6k kiddie dash will go on as planned, despite the rainy forecast. We will try to hold to 9:15 and 10:30 start times, however, start times may be delayed a few minutes to wait for a clean weather window. Please look for our registration table inside the back of College Hall (we’ll have signs and volunteers to help). Family Fun Day and all activities included in family fun day will be cancelled.

6 kilometers is the average distance that women in East Africa walk each day to collect water. COME UNITY is committed to changing that fact. We are going the distance so they won’t have to anymore.

AWARDS: Awards will be given (@ 10:40) to the fastest two men and women in each age group and the overall male and female winner of the race! There will also be an award given to the fastest stroller to cross the finish line.

SPECTATORS: Come cheer on your favorite racer, peruse the vendor market and enjoy all the kid friendly activities. Purchase tickets (for a nominal donation) that permit you to enjoy the fun.

OTHER DETAILS: The race will be professionally timed and take place on a monitored course through MCCC. Not a serious runner? No problem! We have our share of serious racers, but we have a lot of people who care about people in need around the world and race to make a tangible difference in the world. Proceeds from this year’s event go to providing clean water and sustainable economic opportunities to our partners in Kenya and Ethiopia. Run it, walk it, push a stroller – we’re all changing the world together.
