1 in 6 people in our world lack access to clean, safe drinking water.

Women, usually responsible for hauling water when plumbing is absent,
on average carry 45 pounds of water at a time six kilometers.

Lack of access to clean water and sanitation kills children at a rate equivalent of a jumbo jet crashing every four hours.

[The water and sanitation] crisis claims more lives through disease than any war claims through guns.

An American taking a five-minute shower uses more water than the average person in a developing country slum uses for an entire day.

Since 2007, COME UNITY has completed six clean solutions in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, India and Ethiopia and supplied clean drinking water for almost 2,000 people.

This year the 4th annual Philadelphia/East Norriton 6k for Water is moving back to the beautiful Norristown Farm Park! Please join us Saturday, June 1st.

WHERE: Norristown Farm Park – 500 W Germantown Pike Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Follow signs through the park and check in at the main pavillion.

ADULT 6K RACE: Only participants registered by May 1 will receive a race t-shirt and goody bag. Adults registered 5/2-5/31 = $35 Day of registration = $45

KIDDIE DASH: We will have a KIDDIE .06k dash again this year! The Kiddie dash will be approximately 10:15am, when the adult race comes to an end. Only participants registered by May 1 will receive a race t-shirt and goody bag. Registration for children 10 and under, $10.

JERRY CAN RELAY: Take a sprint in the shoes of those who travel 6km for water, with the Jerry Carry Relay. Teams of four fill a jerry can and carry it through a rugged one mile trail in this ultimate change the world challenge. Now accepting four – person teams for this debut event, as you compete and all strive for one common goal, a sense of “COMEUNITY.” Only participants registered by May 1 will receive a race t-shirt and goody bag. One four person team, $60.

Awards will be given to the fastest two men and women in each age group and the male and female winner of the race! There will also be an award given to the fastest stroller to cross the finish line. After the race, enjoy light food, refreshments and live music! Families of four or more, look for a $10 off coupon code at online registration (not available to Jerry Can Relay). Not a serious runner? No problem! We have our share of serious racers, but we have a lot of people like you who care about people in need around the world and just want to make a tangible difference in the world. Run it, walk it, push a stroller, bring your pup or rollerblades- we’re all changing the world together. (The trail is completely paved so wheels work well.)
